Getting started on some new mini landscapes. I wish this photo better demonstrated the similarity between the black paint I used and the burr from and intaglio print. It is such a rich black that I’m inspired to leave it alone to dry before applying anything else. Typically, when I work in fresco the first layer all but disappears, but this time I leaving it front and center, well maybe.
